A White popover shirt in Canapa, cut with a soft one-piece collar and no placket. At about a third the diameter of ordinary hemp, the fibre sits close to the skin and holds its line where linen would crease.

Canapa (ka-ˈna-pa) — Italian for hemp. Woven in Italy from a long-fibre yarn refined until it is soft enough to wear against the skin.

DESCRIPTION

Hemp is the oldest cloth in the world and, refined to this fineness, among the least common. The fibre here measures roughly a third the diameter of ordinary hemp — fine enough to sit directly against the skin, closer to a good linen in hand but carrying a quiet lustre that linen never has. It is hollow like flax, so it breathes and cools the same way, yet dense enough to hold its line rather than crumpling through the afternoon.

The collar is cut in one piece with no separate stand, so it sits soft and open at the neck. The shirt pulls on over the head: no placket, just a clean V. A single patch pocket at the chest, and a curved hem that falls well tucked or out.

It softens with every wash and keeps its shape through all of them.

COMPOSITION & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• 100% hemp
• Fine-fibre hemp, roughly one third the diameter of standard hemp

• Breathable and cooling, with a soft hand and a resilience linen does not have

Care Instructions
• Machine wash at maximum 30°C, mild process
• Do not bleach
• Do not tumble dry
• Iron at maximum 110°C while slightly damp
• Professional dry cleaning in hydrocarbons, mild process
